Dead Space 2 - "Elevator Action" Secret Trophy/Achievement

This is one of the harder accomplishments to get in Dead Space 2 on your first time through, especially with how the task is hidden away from you. This is the only secret achievement that you don't automatically receive as you progress through story mode. This takes place in chapter 7, right when Isaac starts the elevator to go to the solar array area.

I was experimenting a bunch with an easy way to do this before this video. I found that the Detonator works the best. Sadly, I had used all of my power nodes on other weapons and had very little credits on hand to buy more power nodes or use respec to tranfer them over.

I think by showing how well this works with a low level Detonator, you can easily imagine how well it would work with one of a higher level though. My Detonator during this run literally only had one power node for capacity which gave it a 4 bomb upgrade! That is why I struggle toward the end. ;)

I only really had problems toward the end of this video. The Detonator almost always knocks off a tripod with one hit to any portion of its body. I have one stay on the side of the elevator, but it is rare when using this weapon.

I use stasis to hold the Tripods in place whenever more than one appears or whenever I think one is about to move.

**NOTE: In the video, there are a total of 20 Tripods, so it pays to bring along about 30 explosives for the Detonator.**
