U.S. and Greece guarantees that NATO would not change the decision for F.Y.R.O.Macedonia?

U.S. and Greece gave assurance that FYROMacedonia will not join NATO until they solve the name dispute.

This argues Greek newspaper Kathimerini After yesterday met U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with his Greek counterpart Stavros Dimas.

The meeting was the American request on the sidelines of NATO meeting in Brussels. For they do not discuss the verdict, but urged Washington to intensify negotiations on the name and constructiveness on both sides.

It is clear that the verdict does not oblige the Alliance to deliver a membership invitation for FYROMacedonia, but academics believe that NATO should reconsider its conclusions.

The ministerial meeting, NATO Countries reaffirmed the position that FYROMacedonia will soon receive an invitation to solve name dispute.

However, the Greeks fear that allies of FYROMacedonia will be put on the table from the Hague verdict and will push for adoption of the country in the Alliance.
