John Cowan Band "Carry On" 12 5 09 Country Music Hall of Fame

I almost didn't post this video because I was afraid that I couldn't express the sentiment conveyed by Cowan each time I have heard him sing this song, but it is such a message of hope that I pray each of you will receive it. Song was written by John Cowan and Bob Lucas (writer of many songs recorded by Newgrass Revival, John Cowan Band, Alison Krauss, etc..) after the death of Cowan's step-son, Jedediah Bulla, several years ago. Cowan and Lucas tried to write a song as a memorial to Jedediah, but instead of a song of sorrow, it ended-up as a song of hope. I think it's a sentiment that we all need after times of tragedy and sorrow, and it seemed so powerful on Saturday, I had to share it. I certainly do not speak for John or Carol Cowan, or the Bulla family, just wanted to share this great song and performance with all of you... And no matter what, we've got to Carry On! ~Redista

@RedistaNashville i"m 14 years old and i think this guy is the best singer on the planet! why can't more kids my age listen to "real singers" instead of all of the commercialized auto toned garbage thats out there today? thanks for posting! btw my parents got me into john cowan's music.. he is a real pure singer and not a poser!

@vidfreak32 Your parents are smart people! :) Yes, Cowan is my favorite singer and has been so for a long time! No one can hear that voice and not be an instant fan! Look through all my videos, there's a BUNCH of him!!
