This showcase event was held at Parrs Wood High School in Manchester on 16th May 2011. Exceeding Expectations is a multi-agency award winning initiative that aims to support schools in tackling homophobic bullying. It is a partnership initiative involving Manchester City Council, Manchester Healthy Schools, Hope Theatre Company and the Lesbian & Gay Foundation.
The initiative aims to help schools safeguard all young people from bullying and discrimination to create a safe and happy learning environment.
Exceeding Expectations has successfully reached over 6,000 young people and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive with the project being highly Commended in the North West Public Health Awards 2008.
That's a shame, Chamath, but it's their loss. Jonathan, this is outstanding. Great presentation on an important project. This is beautifully shot and nicely edited. Thank you.

Great initiative, I just wish Oldham Council would do more about the issue, especially as Pink Triangle Theatre, who focus on homophobia are actually based in Oldham.
