Arvo Pärt, a contemporary classical composer, wrote Fratres in various versions. My version for classical guitar is closest to the one for 4 cellos which I like best. I had to do without harmonics and I was also limited in dynamics and pitch range (this is why I had to shorten it).
But I hope that I was able to keep the essential of the piece: harmonies, repetition and structure.

  • Love it .. do you have the score please please...

  • @BrunhildeFromNorway: If you send me a personal message with your e-mail address I can send you the chords for Fratres (it's only a score of the 18 chords I use)

  • nice one tobasi again, what is that in the background tho lol lol

  • Thank you. This little soft toy can be seen in many of my videos like my sofa and the silly walks poster. These elements are part of a sophisticated marketing strategy.

  • Very different, and intriguing. The guitar gives it a more contemplative air than other versions, quieter, introspective.

  • Oui ...
