I typed up a much longer post, but then I realized Pfleger isn't even worth debating. He's a fanatic. Not the sort of fanatic who believes "God hates fags," the sort who believes "God holds a grudge against white people." And frankly, you can't debate fanatics.

Assume slavery never occurred in America. What would the population of blacks in America be today? Pretty low probably. Where would African Americans be today had slavery not occurred? Likely still in Africa. What is the quality of life in most parts of Africa compared to America today? Not very good. Slavery is a great stain on American history, but abolishment is one of our greatest triumphs. So do we choose to drink from a half full cup or a half empty cup?

Slavery is without a doubt an abomination. Pfleger is wrong here. He basically states that all white people are the beneficiaries of that heinous era. Many white people detested slavery and fought and died to see it end. Is the posterity of those whites who fought to see an end to slavery on the hook today? I think not.
