Feinberg, who oversaw distribution of funds to the victims and families of victims affected by the 9/11 terrorist attacks, spoke at the University of Massachusetts on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008. His lecture, "The 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund: Private Pain and Public Compensation," was the keynote address of the Feinberg family lecture series, presented in cooperation of the Feinberg Institute at UMass Amherst and the UMass history department.
