not crap. actaully it's not that bad. if i can bop to it, then it's okay.

The extra Synth that kicks in at 0:30 is rather addictive. Maybe play around with the pitch a bit, but I dig it. I'm no expert, but I would maybe clean the change up at 0:20-0:23 so that the instruments aren't sounding like they are stepping on each other. they just seem to loose some definition there and slur together.
Overall, I like it, it's faithful to the original - and let's face it, you can't mess with *that* perfection. And hey... it's a WIP.

I wouldn't call it crap. Yeah, it's a WIP, but catchy as all hell with good arrangement. The quality of the samples is low, which is probably what you hate. Although, fudge it a bit and go for a chiptune-y sound and it would actually work pretty much as is.

@irnbruyum hmm... after listening to this again, i know where i went wrong. i think i mostly just need a better VST or sample for the lead instrument.

it sounds nice, I could see this being in a separate sonic game with a different flavor than the others. This level sounds like it would be fun ;)
