@prelin congrats, i agree, but no one is able to decide who is valuable to america and who isnt. I personally believe in following all immigration laws, but Vargas is certainly an American in my eyes. Pretty confusing issue

@EricJohnTan Argument against your comment: I am a legal American immigrant -- recently turned citizen. Although he may be illegal, he has proven his citizenship to the US by being a worthy individual of staying in the US -- he has job, pays taxes, is a productive member of society... I am sure, if he were your mothers son, she would gladly keep him. Loyalties is what it is all about. And he has shown his gratitude and indebtedness and identity to America by being and demonstrating these.

having a successful career,recognized with distinction..but carrying a moral burden that wore him out..came out in the open and admitted his lies.not to mention being gay...still considers himself AMERICAN,notice how he reluctantly speaks tagalog or rather prefer not to speak with his mother tongue.plus he's GAY..loses the credibility.hope you win your case man..

@prelin congratulations and thank you for the comment. I myself am a legalized American and that is why i feel so strongly about this. Unfortunately for Vargas, having a job, paying taxes and being a productive part of society are NOT prerequisites to becoming a US citizen. It is all in the paper trail. Because now that he came out as illegal, he wont be able to work, meaning he wont be able to pay taxes making him an unproductive member of society. See the problem?
