you said John shelby spong is loved by most? you obviously dont pay much attention. he has recieved death threats at some of his lectures, bomb threats, and other hateful obstacles. Plus, all you have to do is search youtube and see christian after christian assault his character and call him a anti-christ.

As an Australian I have been searching for evidence supporting Spong's claims of a bomb threat here in Australia. I have not found any (websites that simply parrot Spong's own claims are not "evidence"). What did happen: He was banned by Anglican Archbishop of Brisbane, Peter Hollingworth, from speaking in Brisbane diocesan churches in 2001, and banned by Archbishop Peter Jensen from churches in his Sydney diocese in 2007.

Brilliant man..explaining change & awakening in such an easy way.. Sad that the people claiming they are Christians, are threatining Bishop Spong and speak about him with hate speech.. But they are following in Jesus's footsteps.. They should stop crusifying others, like Jesus got crusified.. They are going against their own religion's principles.. We should grand people their own opinions and just love, by setting an example..
