The Carleton Singing Knights do Beirut's Scenic World at the Winter concert on 3/10/08. These guys are from Carleton College in Northfield, MN. Hooray!'

Kirke does his best Zach Condon impression in this. I think Tom Fry arranged it.

  • yes man yes!

  • OMG BEIRUT <3

  • Stop trying to compare it to the original did it sound good? Yes. It's also hell of a lot more interesting than most covers of this song i've heard.

  • Good try. But it's definitely not better than the original, and could have been done better :/

  • @hullaballoo84 Oh yeah, you're right. My whole perspective has changed now and the high notes are perfectly in tune, thanks to your reply to my comment. *boggles*

  • @hullaballoo84 definitely NOT better than the original. yes, we all realize that amateur performance is difficult. that being said, picking a song thats out of your range is never a good idea - amateur or professional. the fact that the highest note the background effects singer sings comes out twice as loud as the other notes he sings goes to show he doesnt have enough control over his voice to be comfortable singing them.

  • Hola muy buena interpretacion, gran voz, gran cancion obvio, bien hecho chicos.!

  • Well, they tried right?

It's not the real thing, but it's a hell of an impression.

  • A for Astonishing

  • @differently try and perform on a school stage with crap monitors and nerves a-jangling and you'll understand why. Their version of Timbaland's Apologise is the same, but it's still fcuking great to listen to.
