My 10 year old undersupervision made this video of spear hunting carp. It is not at all as easy as you might think. it actualy took several months of trial and error to get it down to were we actualy got a fish landed. some of the problems we encountered were that carp populations in state of minnesota have dropped very low due to global warming and lack of high water that they require to spawn, DNR studies suggest that it may be 10years since last successfull spawn. other problems were just finding the right spot that the fish are swimming on. following are some of the video and pictures in that quest. all fish shot were utilized in enhancing a farm garded. ANd it made a massive difference. were each fish was planted the plants grew almost a foot taller! enjoy. (i actualy need afew more fish but its too cold to get any). several other non huntable species were also encountered on the river such as a 10lb channel cat, some small walleye and bass.
