The game was a Wharncliffe Charity Cup League tie and Rotherham Town were actually just 'Rotherham', they picked up the 'Town' suffix in 1905.

The truth about the Mitchell and Kenyon Film find is incorrect you can find the full facts at the Gregory Audio Visual Website under "News Tab"

I'm a Rotherham fan and I'm so grateful to those who have posted it.
BTW I've played on the Red House ground (I've also had a few pints in the pub) although it had more of a slope to it when I played.
The pitch, that is, not the pub, although it felt like it the time.
Thanks again.

They weren't playing at Millmoor then and they aren't now! Will Rotherham ever get there own ground. Mr Booth must be laughing!
No matter how many times you say it Paul, it still won't be funny.
