Will I ever get tired of watching this? Probably not.
The commentary of this race on Irish TV by Tony O'Donoghue was brilliant. At the bell: "There is one lap to go and it is becoming increasingly difficult to remain cool and objective about the outcome of this race". (It's on Google video if you search for "Eamonn Coghlan Winner 5000 Metres", haven't seen it on YouTube)

eamonn coughlan summer of '76 how we sat in that german pub in the small village of herongen willing him to take gold but alas and alack, never mind, seven years later my daughter is born on the 14th. august and eamonn takes gold the same day!
