  • God, I love this song. Love the ending with that kid jumping on stage, no screaming or hootin, just smiled shook Bruces hand and turned around-faced the crowd- and everyone cheered for him. You could tell Bruce just was a regular kid back then. How cool!!! Sendin' this to my girlfriend.

  • unlike the songs we hear nowadays, this song is GOOD!!!

  • My radio is turned up, I am holding still, and whipping my hair.

  • BELLISSIMAAAAAA

  • what an amazing song by the boss this cd is amazing cd and even the box set too RIP big Man :(

  • a great melody from a great artist !

  • This song makes me sad. Maybe it's the music that was lost for all those years. Maybe it's the scenes of days gone by, old views of Asbury Park. Maybe it's that Bruce is getting old.....and his bandmates and friends are leaving him. Or maybe it's the words and sound of this song about love and life and yearning. In any case this song is one of my favorites.

  • The greatest songwriter of my lifetime...the man is a gift from God

  • @pridelakecity Van Zandt has joked about wanting to punch Bruce from time to time because everyone else they hung out with back then struggled with writing, but Bruce would come into the studio with five new songs and then decide none of them could fit the mood of the record and he'd throw them all out.

  • At the end of this song, each band member from the original E Street Band ( Weinberg, Van Zandt, Tallent and Clemons) look like they are in disbelief that that occured about 30-40 years ago and that until this point, was locked up in Springsteen's personal locker. They have the look of "We should knock Bruce upside the head for not releasing this awesome material years ago," and also "Wow, look at me back in the day...those were the days." And I am sure they were also thinking of Danny too.
