Using 2" Scotch Brite pads to create a swirling effect on copper and brass. The swirling increases light reflection thus making the sculpture more interesting. I especially use this on certain copper and brass leaf sprays.

    hey george

I am interested in the welding field and just got my first job at a sheet metal fabrication shop. I only get to do a bit of mig welding there so i was wondering what you think someone should start off learning if they are interested in welding

i very much enjoy your videos :)

    thanks

If I was in my 20's to 40's I'd seriously think about taking a course to become a certified welder. This would definitely open up future job opportunities. You'd be learning oxy/ace, Mig. Tig, metallurgy. In other words you would be a complete welder. Many welders today are in their 50's and 60's and will be retiring soon. From everything I've read there is going to be a shortage of welders.

Strange how things go George, only yesterday I was looking at a stainless steel tabletop finished this way. It always has been a good looking finish I have to say. Thanks once again George, Take care, Norm.

an Air angle die grinder works well too. They have them at harbor freight for about $15. I've used the new style pads in a and a half inch, and 2 inch and they both work great. That is a clever Idea with the drill press though.
