To celebrate the launch of critically acclaimed video game DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION, Square Enix has commissioned filmmaker Rob Spence aka Eyeborg (a self proclaimed cyborg who lost an eye replaced it with a wireless video camera) to investigate prosthetics, cybernetics and human augmentation.

    I got the impression he's more of a cynic in regards to advances in bionics and the doc was overly optimistic and not necessarily realistic.

    The main obstacles to help bionic limbs rival and exceed their natural counterparts are restoring touch sensation (we've tapped into it, but I don't know how it compares to a natural arm), energy source (as of now, a separate energy source is needed, hopefully that will change), and cost (like the cell phone it will start as very expensive).
