To celebrate the launch of critically acclaimed video game DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION, Square Enix has commissioned filmmaker Rob Spence aka Eyeborg (a self proclaimed cyborg who lost an eye replaced it with a wireless video camera) to investigate prosthetics, cybernetics and human augmentation.

How they could? People turning into Angelina Jolies and removing their teeth so they won't get caries? Yes, institucionalizated medicine may be a problem, most ppl are afraid to die and will turn to medicine as they turned to shamans in the past, and stupid Angelina-like ppl will appear.

But also, it was through such evolution that we evolved as species, "memetic evolution" is what made ppl with diabetes able to have a normal life, instead of being "terminated" by natural selection.

It's true, but also a chance to promote Deus Ex. Which can be a chance for us to know the game, learn from it and become more open-minded, given the game seems to approach various views (you have a lot of freedom to alter the story through your choices).

TBH, it seems it's the other way around: the game seems to promote the protesis market, given now many of us is interested in turning cyborg, which is good; we motivated the area's development, then they may answer us with enhancements.

People are doing a favor producing an informative documentary which has naturally a cost, but also has an oportunity for profit.

And then you, who does shit nothing besides complaining about others' creating, do what? COMPLAIN.

If you think its so bad, do an informative documentary, for free. It's so fucking easy to not create anything, so people can't criticize your creation, and then pose as an awesome guy criticizing others' creations, isn't?

Yes, like they said on video, its not impossible, its just freaking hard to find where the neural conections are, since it's not "exactly" the same individually. "Exactly" means they know the regions, but still have a helluva work in doing the proper links.

Also, the better the quality the more need for links, something out of hand (possible but expensive, perhaps) at the moment. Who knows in a near feature?

Capitalism, when free, had always found better ways to improve such things.

Why? non-filthy rich people won't be able to buy it? How come?

Unless there are some force-based restriction (like government-made laws), the market will deal with offering us cheaper alternatives through its competition.

If you're angry because you're not rich and won't be able to consume it at launch, then do yourself a favor and go produce something useful like these companies and "filthy rich people" try to do.

No one gets rich by envying and raging on the web about others' sucess.
