North East Tonight (Last City Road Weather) - 1/7/2005

After several years since its abandonment by Tyne Tees, the famous former base on City Road in Newcastle was finally demolished at the start of 2010. To mark the end of the historic building, a small series here (originally featured on my site TV Whirl) takes a look back at all the bulletins surrounding their last broadcast from the studios and the move to the pokey Gateshead base in 2005.

The second clip features the last City Road weather from Bob Johnson, with City Road taking the place on the weather view for the day. The Egypt Cottage shown was also to later go to the ground along with the studios.
