Not their high-end, $8000.00 models, perhaps. But low-end, consumer Trek bikes can land you on your face, causing serious injury or even death due to a defect in the fork design. Always use caution when riding any bike, but especially when riding a Trek.

  • I dont care if this is a 3 year old video, bt whoever made it is a retard. firstly, the company Trek doesnt have anything to do with the design of the RST shocks, secondly, if this guy has even a little bit of sense he could have written "RST shocks are dangerious" but that brings me to the third point. I have a trek 4700 Alpha with RST shocks on it, the lived for about 5 years till the cylinder got cracked (my own fault) so putting it simply. Shut the fuck up dude !

  • This is a joke, right? Oh, you're serious...

    You're a complete fool.

From this point forward, keep your unfounded opinions off the Internet..

  • After seeing this video and reading the comments it's pretty clear that you're a dick. I've ridden a trek with Bontrager carbon forks for the last two years and it's awesome. Buy a proper bike and not a cheap ass bicycle shaped object.

  • If you do anything on a RST brand anything other than just tool down the road you sir are an idiot. If your trek came with an rst it has to be a model for doing nothing more than going for a ride in the park, and what about your level of skill as far as riding?

  • luckly I´m not so mad and do MTB rides...I stay in triathlon.

And maybe you shold wear a helmet ;)

  • It isn't treks fault it's owner and fork brand if you actually read the manual and use some common sense your suppose to check everything every ride and do a full check(taking it apart, changing the oil if any) every couple of months

  • it's bull shit, this has nothing to do with trek. don't blame trek if you don't know a thing about bike

  • GO for GIANT! still, I like TREK! XD Both ROCK! except the guy in the vid X(

  • what were u riding when it broke anyway

  • man up dude, its not treks fault its rst's fault because they SUCK and when a new bike is bought with any fork its not just rusty springs in the fork, its much more than that and the fork u show 15 seconds into the vid is a shitty old rst from the 90's so it wasnt even rst's fault for your fork breaking its yours because u didnt maintain it and LET it rust on the inside and out and if u mountain bike with that than its time for a new one. stop ripping on trek they ROCK
