This is a song I wrote about some desicions I had to make. Comment's Welcome. Lyrics below.

Decisions knaw at my brain
And a simple problem transforms in to catastrophe
My shoulders hunch with the stress heaped upon them
Crying for mercy, or an escape from this choice

Simplicity is not an option
Can't throw cares to the wind
There is no breeze to catch them
What could be said to make them understand?

What can slow my rapid heart?
Departing means separation from
Creativity
Overflowing from me
It can slow my quick pulse
What else is left behind?
A priest and a program,
Foreign.

I'm stuck in this divide
Too hard to compromise
Can't slide my way out this time
Because my heart is caught
And the seams are unravelling
What can keep me from bursting?

Keep me from inhaling too much of the intoxicating
Experience
Keep me from endless, sleepless nights
Analysing
Help to not hate, whatever choice I make

And I can't help dreaming
About the other side of the coin
And what would happen to me
If I occupied that space, and place in time
Would it all have ended up this way
But then I rewind and lay with my eyes to the sky

I'm stuck in this divide
Too hard to compromise
Can't slide my way out this time
Because my heart is caught
And the seams are unravelling
What can keep me from bursting?

  • that is fuckin mint!

i love your style and the way you connect your lyrics. very inspiring.

    you earned a new subscriber!

and i thought the guitar helped actually :)

  • thank you so much!

    i really appreciate it.

i'm glad you liked the guitar. i'm still improving, but i can't help writing music with it haha.

  • im quite the fan of your voice, and the lyrics are amazing. but im not sure about the guitar. great work though.

  • yeah im just learning guitar, so i'd have to agree with you there. i started playing in january as a new years resolution :)

  • thanks guys :) i was happy with it myself. it was spontaneous, and that's always the best writing for me. for me, the more i over think it, the less natural it sounds.

though, some great songs have been written after great thought i believe.

  • Great job man! Great song, nice writing :)

  • thanks! i'm glad you like it

  • you are a really good lyricist and your voice is beautiful as well. WIth the guitar, everyone has to start somewhere. I remember when I started, never thought I would get anywhere lol.. One piece of advice I might be able to give you is to use your fingers to mute some of the other strings so there isn't so much buzz and also, it will mute the strings that aren't in the chord. Other than that, keep on writing and singing. You can only get better from here 8-) Be blessed

  • why has no1 else commented this yet? i still love this song :D
