I am using dry ice (frozen co2) to generate large amounts of co2 as it melts and turns into gas. This is then bubbled through the bio reactor feeding chlorella vulgaris algae.

  • Great idea, but I don't think it will be cheaper. I can get a kilogram of dry ice for like 2$ And one kilogram of co2 in gas form is a really huge amount :)

  • Are you doing this to make bio-diesel?

  • You could probably get more control over the gas output using a drip feed arrangement of vinegar dripping onto sodium bicarbonate.Might be cheaper too.
