Yeah, gotta agree with Breezy. I was alive, breathing and listening during this time and would have to say the Floyd and Sabbath are two different creatures. Contrast War Pigs with Granchester Meadows.

The riff that was Black Sabbath before Black Sabbath existed. Pink Floyd started heavy metal, really. This is amazing, amazing stuff. The Narrow Way is one of Ummagumma's standouts, I remember how amazing David Gilmore's original was compared to the others, with Waters' a-musical yet brilliant "several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict" a close second. The Narrow way was the heaviest thing I ever heard in my life when it was released.
