ugh i'm awful at saying what i try to first take, but i wanted to just get it up.

source of biggest hypocrisy = subscribing to the idea that opposites exist, and turning examples into rules. that's something i didn't mention. that since you've found something good about what you're in, and something bad about something else, then what you're in is absolutely good and the other is absolutely bad, EVEN THOUGH there are completely nice and reasonable people subscribing to the other belief.

this is what tolerance is about,

this is where finding a common understanding comes in

  • This is something I always thought was funny. I listen to a lot of metal music, and anytime I want to watch a video on youtube, I always have to read something along the lines of:

"yah fuck all religon" and yes, It's usually spelled like that. This isn't to say that people who listen to metal are stupid. Most of them are very bright, but they are the quiet ones... anyway.

I think it's funny how atheist tend to say that religion should be stopped based off of the past, after they say that.

  • @UselessTies150 right, when really it has nothing to do with religion at all. i mean in life we seek to explain the nature of things, ya kno, find the truth, and obviously people are going to try and explain things differently and defend their conclusions as the correct ones. insert religious or philosophical beliefs here. when really the most self destructive thing is putting all the focus on the differences and refusing to consider understanding another way of being

  • you are clearly walking the path to enlightenment, brother. all around us, shades of grey. although it is so metaphorical that it only makes sense to me , this is exactly what my song fish out of water is about. namaste'.

  • @blkfrhwk you know jude, i just read something today from a guy i really like (brad warner). he described enlightenment as being similar to being physically fit. (paraphrasing of course) it doesn't happen instantly, but if you're healthy and diligent, it comes.. but it's never really a state that you all the sudden are or are not in, and there's nothing anyone else can do so that you're instantly buff.

  • @UselessTies150 i can't tell you how ridiculously happy i am that you two guys are communicating with each other. truly, i think the two of you should someday do a collab.

  • Interesting that you talk about this. I'm actually going to be making a video to this effect fairly soon. Thanks for putting this up as a response to me, and for your valuable comments on my video.
