hi i found a solution when i first installed it it wouldent work but then i clicked wait for program to restpond and it worked for me

Gimpshop sucks & blows at the same time. There is no such thing as a decent freeware replacement for Photoshop. Even if there is (or was), it's kept up to date by individuals who program mostly for Linux anyway. Linux programmers are biased and generally cater more towards fellow Linux users. So the only affordable alternative (at least on the Windows platform) would be anything from Corel. Paintshop Pro X3, Corel Draw, Corel Painter, etc. On the Mac, well.. Photoshop only, i guess.. lol.
