A video covering the restoration of my second Wolseley WDII. This one was a bit further on in the serial range than the previos effort, and so it was returned to its original green. This has been an easy restoration so far, and there was evidence of a previous overhaul from what must have been a pretty bad state. It runs quite irregularly, but Im sure setting the contact breaker and spark plug more optimally will help. A solution needs to be found for the water drain tube too. But for now, Im fairly happy with it.

  • Well done mate, you worked wonders with both your engines, it's been an a pleasure to have followed your progress and see the stunning results here at the end.

what have you got planned for the engines mate? they run very nicely and seem to have plenty of useful life left in them.

any chance of a video with them both running side by side?

  • @miserableoldcunt Hi mate. There will be a video of them together, I promise. I was waiting for better weather, and the lawn to dry up a bit so they dont sink down to their axles! I'm sure when I get bored one weekend I'll stick an alternator on one of them! Cheers matey.

  • @miserableoldcunt Quote "any chance of a video with them both running side by side? " Be careful what you wish for mate, check : /watch?v=YeS2JAtifYc . And see, each one of them has an axle trying to dig in. Sods to move.

  • Very nice!! Try running it with the choke lever a few clicks towards the air cover

  • @cornishadz Hi, thanks for the comment. A lot of this run was done with a lot of choke, I'm sure setting the contact breaker better will help. I'll get another video of it running when I've done this, and when the weather is a bit better and I can have both my WDIIs out on the lawn.

  • Lovely job on the restoration, looks really well. great video.

  • @regaskin Thanks very much for watching, glad you like.

I've already uploaded a video of my restored wolseley running, but it needs a fine tuning.

If you see my wolseley videos before restoration it was running without any missfire!

Spent 2 days in tuning and sometimes it misses a beat. next week i will fit a better carburettor gasket, then it should be fine....

    Jarno.

  • @hanomagman Thank you very much, Jarno. As I said to Enginelover1, I'm sure it can run better than this, and it will. I look forward to seeing your Wolseley too.

  • @enginelover1 Thanks very much for watching and the kind comment. I'm sure she'll run better than this with a few tweaks.
