Charging Alkaline Batteries

...Well in this video show how you can charge an alkaline battery on a Universal battery charger. Note that it is not safe to charge alkaline battery due to some change made by the company. One out of the four alkaline battery had exploded. In this case either it had change that make it vulnerble to be explode since the one that exploded is good through 2017 on the label and the three batteries that didn't explode is label year 2016. But it has fully or nearly full charge. I am guessing it is good charge for once only due tot he seal might break inside of the battery. Also it is best only to charge for one hour and that should fully charge the alkaline.

Wen you are planning to charge your alkaline battery. Charge it outside of your home due to the fire danger cause by charging these alkaline battery. May also explode when you unplug it and remove the battery out from the charger so leave the battery outside for 20 minute. When they are ready. You will be saving your money on buying battery again. There is also a device out there that let you charge alkaline battery but I do not know if they have their own alkaline battery that you can only charge them with the charger but you can google search for it.

Or esle. Buy rechargeable battery that you can charge upto 250 times. Some even claim 1000's times but unheard of. The energizer I got is 150 times. It run on 1.2 volts unlike them alkaline that run at 1.5 but I have use them 1.2v, no problem on electronic device. Right now I have a total of 32 aa rechareable battery for use. Eight triple AAA rechareable battery asewell. Plan on to use rechargeable battery for the $$$$...

Yeah, what you are doing is going to destroy your AA batteries. The reason is that the chemical process is not reversible as in Nickel Cadmium and other rechargeable batteries, which is why they are not rechargeable... dumb ass. Also, its reversing the polarity as you do in charge-mode will actually cause the battery to become resistive and hot as the chemicals break-down. Its not because the evil Duracell battery companies are trying to rip you off.

@WakkieRob1 thats what the temp sensor is for, so I dont have to sit and watch the thing :-)

sorry I didnt mention I built the charger off plans, similar to one that plugs into a usb for computer charging a battery. (since usb is 5 volt)
