The new Scientific Anglers Sharkskin Fly Lines feature a remarkable, patented micro-replication embossed surface that greatly improves overall fly line performance in virtually every category; higher flotation, less friction, less line flash, less line spray, less line coil and greater durability. The result is enhanced fishing performance with increased casting distance, easier mending, easier line pick up, greater stealth and better drifts. What's not to like? These lines will help you fish better! Available in Ultimate Trout Tapers, both weight forward and double taper, GPX, plus, a Steelhead Sharkskin, and an ideal all purpose Saltwater Taper for warmer climes. The Shark is what's happening in fly lines today, and you'll be impressed with near frictionless casting, either on the stream or on the flats. I'll reach you now, Mr. Bonefish!

  • My concern is the wake is causes at 1:08

  • @snolover84 Ive been using sharkskin since it came out. There is no wear on my guides and its not hard on the top guide that is a bunch of bs rio and air flo are just pissed they got out done by 3m. Rio or air flo better!? They don't hold a candle to 3m technologies! Hmm lets spend 60 dollars on a line that lasts a 1/3 of the time sharkskin does STUPID!. The price is fair considering it last 3 times as long. hello no brainer there. And noise i like it! Loud no way thats majorly exaggerated.

  • I'm using the Sharkskin Magnum Taper and im very satisfied with my purchase. The price is rarely high, but i bought if of 50% sale for 70 bucks. It shoots like a cannon with just 10-15 feet of line out and it is very easy to pick up and even to roll-cast easier. People have been concerned about the nice that the line makes going thru the guides, but it is really not that noisy. You get used to it very quickly!

  • Ive used this fly line and was not impressed. Yes it casts smoothly and shoots well, but its loud and hard as hell on the top guide of the fly rod. There are many other fly lines on the market which are cheaper and same quality or better like RIO and Air Flo.

  • Is this the Sharkskin "Trout Taper"? Is it true to line weight? Does it work well on a Z-Axis or BIIX? I understand it comes in a GPX taper. Is that better suited to the faster rods? Kind regards.

  • Thanks for the informative video. A little ironic, however, to see forward creep in a fly-casting instructor's stroke.

  • great line! and a pretty caster!
