Today we unveiled the fifth television ad of our campaign, entitled "Honor." In the ad, Jim Salisbury, a Michigan veteran, discusses Senator Stabenow's successful effort to stop the Bush administration's efforts doubling the prescription drug costs for over 40,000 Michigan veterans. The Bush administration's proposed budget for 2005-2007 included a measure that doubled the prescription drug co-pay for section 7 and section 8 veterans. Senator Stabenow fought to have this proposal stripped from the budget, ensuring that Michigan's veterans would not be unfairly burdened with increased prescription drug costs.
