Part 2. Make the saddle slot, tie block inlay slots, and trough slot.

Drill the string holes with a No.53 drill bit (1.51mm).

On the original J.Gilbert bridge the holes for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th string are No. 60 (0.040") and strings 3,5 and 6 are No.55 (0.052").

    Last year You Mentioned you are going to release DVD called Constraction of Lattice Brace (Smallman desing )Guitar .Was going to be end of the year.I did not get any information about it .Did you release it or still Not been release.

  • Thanks for this series, David. I have a couple of questions about the design. How does he weight of the Gilbert bridge design compare to the weight of a traditional design? It seems to me that the Gilbert design is quite a bit stiffer across the length of the bridge than a traditional design. Is this a correct observation?
