iOS 5 and Managed Apps - When the MobileIron application is launched, there are two tabs on the left-hand side, one for App store apps and in-house apps. Within the App store apps, we have two apps, a paid app and a free one. When installing the pre-paid app, instead of simply linking to the app store, the app is downloaded via MDM, within the MobileIron application. When installing an in-house app, it also downloads via MDM from the MobileIron VSP. Both pre-paid and in-house apps can be removed automatically by retiring, or selectively wiping, the device. It administrators may need to do this if a device is lost or if the employee leaves the company. As soon as a device is retired, the applications and its data is removed immediately.
