  • @FlyingCactus101 i know someone who works where and sandia has financial problems. Your probably told this a lot but DONT SAY THINGS YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

  • bb4960 are you kidding me? Sandia National Laboratories is a government operated corporation owned by Lockheed Martin (the number one weapons contractor in the WORLD), they have so much damn money that money isn't even a thought, because it's not an issue...i personally have a high respect for sandia labs for being able to publicly display this topic of research.

  • Cute. But they sure as shit don't release any money, do they?

  • the electricy bill of Sandia must be very high

  • @Tupeutlatesla Why is the video focused on X-rays?

I believe that X-rays produce the fusion. I know they are pulsing DC current through wires. This destroys the wire through the Z-pinch, but then what? The x-rays are the byproduct of the pinch and are the only thing hot enough to create fusion. But we're not even there yet, there are challenges in getting enough x-rays and that's why they have coils of wires and not just a wire. But most of the details are still hazy to me.

  • @zassounotsukushi @ 05:03 They use Marx generators to produce high voltage high DC pulses. What do you think they are pulsing of course is electricity!!!

  • I heard that the z machine can reach over 2 billion degrees farenheight

  • 1:30 oh jeah^^

  • the z-machine rocks my world.

But the sound quality of this video is terrible. 2 stars.

And what are you pulsing anyway? The video says it funnels a "massive pulse of power", but what kind of power? Electrical pulse? What about the instability of the pinch? Is the plasma containing fusion fuel collapsed by the pinch itself or by secondary x-rays?

Does this video even reflect the current approach? They recently got more funding but this video hardly covers the basic idea.
