garageband is only available for macs. from what i've read, mixcraft is supposed to be windows' version of garageband. i know there's better, more expensive programs out there, but the ones i've tried are too complicated to use. i'd rather just plug in, hit record, and start playing.
i'm not sure how long it took me to get the timing down. i've been playing for years now, so it came naturally. the really hard part was figuring out the exact notes, but i think i pretty much got them all.

Thats brilliant im getting a dgx 220 soon. Can you record six layers of your own music and save it onto the keyboard? Thanks

I believe you can record 5 layers and an accompany beat. But you can use something like Mixcraft and put the layers in there too. Just load up a Virtual Instrument in it and press record and then play the notes on the keyboard. I only use the demo of Mixcraft and it works fine. I record it all and then play it back recorded through Stereo mix.

that's cool. you didn't even need a computer or anything. i've been thinking of trying the ending, but it seems like it would be a pain to try...

I have a Yamaha DGX 220. I ran it into the computer with a USB and the sounds came through Mixcraft. I wish it had a better sounding guitar though... I'm not sure if one can get Garageband for windows. The guitar you used sounded great.
I agree, that last solo would be a pain. =P
I have trouble getting the timing down on measures 13 and 14 of this first solo. How long did you practise it before you got those two measures down? The 32nd notes in there are tricky.
