Great vid,i had a yellow wing and blue body back [pt 19] in the early 70s,gone of course,lots of fun,i just bought one in mint condition to display.brings back your child hood.thanks

Eric, thanks for sharing I love those cox planes I used to have 2 back in late 80s I still have a couple of engines, not for sale though, Greetings form Mexico. do you still have your PT 19?

LOL....unfortunately, I had help....and usually in the form of a hand launch. Do it wrong, and a quick crash was the result.
Eventually I used some of my 049s for free-running homemade airboats. There's a satisfaction that's not seen enough with youngsters today....putting in the effort. But that's probably an unfair generalization to some degree.

The part I enjoy telling the most is when I didn't have anyone to hold the plane, I would start it, run to the handle and pick it up as the plane was lifting off the ground.
Kids today don't know how much fun we had before computers.
