This glittering Stravinsky production directed by Robert Lepage was acclaimed when first unveiled in Brussels last year, and has been eagerly awaited in London.
The ending bits with Nick's "I burn, I burn, I freeze!" and the Bedlam scenes look incredible... I kind of like the idea of Ann in the car during "I go, I go to him." But still, the "Oklahoma!"-esque cowboy bits seem totally wrong to me.
I would love to come and see it, but it's too expensive :-(
£139 for a decent seat - even up in the gods it's £35 (and I never sit up in the gods if I can help it, I'm 6'4"). Oh well perhaps when I'm old and rich I'll be able to afford to see the 2057 revival!
