But it's the same thing with american music. Most of the countries outside of USA don't have english as their native tongue. Still everyone thinks its supernatural for them to listen to american music. It's all about the listener. Is she/he too lazy to look for the translations or simply doesn't want to know... ??? I love k-pop and I think it's much more meaningful than most of the american music. And it's not music, it's a lifestyle. +the variety shows etc. It's heaven for me. <3

@SHINeeSUCKZ But it's not like all K-Pop fans are like that. And yeah, most song meanings in K-Pop are no different then Western Pop like losing a girl or whatever, but I guess it's cause of the way they sing it. Unlike some American Pop where they rap about sex or whatever, K-Pop uses a lot more vocals in the music, even if it's just about a crush. I'm not saying that there's no American Pop with deep vocals, but look at the stuff we're listening to now, rapping about sex and random dubstep.

@SHINeeSUCKZ Yeah, but some idols ARE artists. Like Big Bang composed almost all of their songs. And, though there's a lot of Western influence is the music, there are many K-Pop idols and songs out there that are pretty original. I mean seriously, all music is based off of music. It's only once in a blue moon that something is 100% original. And yes, there are those fangirls in K-Pop that are annoying as fuck and spam every video they can find about their favourite idols or whatnot..

@SHINeeSUCKZ yeah a lot of it has to be with visuals rather than music, although I like that one track by Boyfriend, there's not enough authentic artistic "struggle", writing and composing on music has my huge respect, regardless of it's language, im just sick of these stupid fan girls and fan boys treating kpop idols like religious icons lol

@yurikomuro Very true! It also upsets me when fangirls call an idol group "artists". An artist in music is someone who writes/composes, like the classic Korean singers. :) Fans only like shit like B1A4, Boyfriend, and Snsd because they're part of the stupid "Korean fad" obsession
