looking at the video it looks like your arms are very tense, you probably want to try playing more relaxed in your arms and your wrists would probably hurt a bit less

What was the easiest Etude for you to play and practice in Op.10?? Reply back when you can!

@MusicClassical1 : I can't really tell, since I haven't reached the 'finished' level in any of these etude. However, I can say at this moment that probably 10-6 is the one I can play with most confidence, even though I still make mistakes as you hear.

i'm not a professional pianist or anything but i can tell you that if u practice this enough and slowly, you can learn it in two weeks quite easily. i had to learn this in 10 days for a piano competition and i managed it (spending 2 hours a day practicing it).....once u learn the pattern of the piece, its easy as a lot of it is repeated but just in a different key.

10days? That is *very* impressing.
When you say slowly, how slow was it actually (how many beats per minutes)? I do practice slowly and gradually increase speed, but it seems that at some point I cannot go faster without straining my wrists. Do you have any suggestion to break this barrier?
For basic training I usually run several pieces from Hanon in various keys.

I'm not taking lessons, and I can only practice 30min-1hour per day (and sometimes even skip practice), so I cannot tell about general cases. It did take a lot more than 6wks for me... but if you practice constantly and spend more hours, I guess you can make it in several wks.
