This is an absolute breath of fresh air. His approach to this solo is more humble and interesting than the average rock-drummer solo.

You can go through all the famous, "top" players in the world, But it's solos like these that you really remember.
Out of all of Weckl's solos (with all due respect to Dave Weckl), this gives me the most inspiration.

Very intense and psychotic drumming. Definitely an endurance exercise. Not easy keeping the same rhythms going with the same intense dynamic for that length of time. Absolutely great.
