  • Albino is a morph of black and white so they are compatible. They are the same animal. The babies would only carry the gene for albino though because albino tends to be a recessive gene.

  • im getting a red tegu soon, and i have a b/w female atm, the one im getting is about the same size, would it be safe to have them together? I have an extra cage, but I'd like to keep them in the same cage if it's safe, and like, of course, they'll be fed outside of the enclosure

  • @d3th4u2 I kept mine together, but they were together from very small. As long as you are careful introducing them, keep a close eye on themw hen they are together for the first couple weeks if they get along, it shoudl be okay. Feeding seperate is a good idea, as they will grab a leg or whatever accidentally then rip it off thinking it's a piece of food. Good luck! Love them tegus!

  • my male b&w has been huffing just like that, though there are no females around to court. maybe hes practicing :p

  • @ConfuciousxSay He's just making sure he's ready if a lady tegu does show up!

  • dont red and b/w breed? and will columbian b/w and argentine b/w breed?

  • @d3th4u2 Red and Arg B&W do breed, and produce viable young. I don't know if anyone crossed columbian and argentine B&Ws together.
