I really think this interview shows the delicate sweetness of laura that some people ignore due to her frequent melancholic moods or actions..her songs are very meaningful and powerful and people often say she seems very bitter but I seriously love how mysteriously magical she is. She's my idol and always will be.

@banksiasong I really don't think she says things like that meaning to sound rude at all, I just don't think she seems like the sort of person that is cut out for interviews and being analysed. If you watch other interviews it's clear she doesn't like talking about her lyrics or what her songs are about. She seems to get quite nervous, and no-one talks at their best when they are nervous. I think that 'retort' was simply her attempt at explaining it. It wasn't said in a dismissive way at all
Hope to hear more interviews by Michaela. Her research is flawless, and of course she shows the interviewee both "manners and courtesy". Marling is an extremely talented grumblebum.

Laura just seems so sweet, and she definitely has a quiet confidence about her. I can't believe she's only twenty! Her songs are so layered and poetic. They've actually moved me to tears (particularly "Blackberry Stone" and "Your Only Doll"). God, I love her. This was a great interview!
