Indeed it is. Ampeg always nails the clean tone on their amps.

Of all 4 drivers I've tried now in this amp, the Fane has the tightest low end and the best over all crunch.
The original CTS is going off to Weber for re-coning and that is the only other speaker that gets top billing for wide open breakup at low volumes.
The Fane SPL of 100 dB is just right for this amp.

This amp keeps surprising me with all kinds of variations in character.

That is a nice sounding little amp. Got a nice light crunch to it. When I can afford another amp I might have to go on the hunt for one.

This sounds like on of the best reverbs I have ever heard. Great tone on the reverb and does not wash out the sound at all. What setting was the reverb on?

I keep it at about 2-2 1/2 on the Echo dial, not much at all.

I bought the reissue Reverberocket. It's a 50- watt 2x12 combo with a beautiful clean tone. It almost soinds like a cross between a Fender and a Vox.

The 50 watt reissue is a different beast, but a cool beast none the less.

My clip of the Reeves 225 Crunch gets a more authentic Live @ Leeds tone, but that's 256 watts.
This is 21 watts and the amp wasn't even wide open.
