New Baby Quaker Parrot

So, I explain in the video that this little guy flew into an empty lot across from our house on a Sunday morning. Daddy thought it was one of our quakers that maybe got loose - but no. I keep their wings clipped - too many hawks around here that would love a tasty snack. It was VERY cold the night before - around 30-35 degrees, so I think he was very thankful for the warm home, food and shelter we provided.

I asked for a vote for the name, Sweet Pea, (cause he/she is so sweet), Holly Berry (cause that's the trees she was found in), but then there was another one - PeaTree (green like a pea and found in a tree) - BUT also I loved the little dinosaur bird with that name in the movie Land Before Time. 'fly higher, like a flyer'.....

Well he let us clip his wings and nobody has claimed her/him yet. I've been giving him alot of attention and he fit right in with the flock. He's been talking - said 'pretty bird' and 'good boy' so far. It just may be a male because he's been getting along with Keiko. He's also very loud whenever I get out of his sight - he's calling me. Who knows, maybe he was let go because of that - it can be obnoxious, but they outgrow it. I can tell he's young by the bobbing of his head that he does alot. Keiko did that exact same thing when I got her and she was about 2 months old.

So, it looks like PeaTree (?) will have a home right here.

@yakurimoe Thanks, he is a sweetie. He loves music. Everytime he hears music, singing, or me singing a song, he starts bobbing his head and tapping his foot. He's just got music in his heart.

@dalsch I lost my bird, But mine was a boy and was certinly not this one :) Because mine had his wings clipped and wasnt fluffy like this one :) Its so sweet its such a loving bird :3

Oh god this quaker is obviously from a loving owner, it's just a bundle of love waiting to be pet and cuddled! :D You seem to be a great owner too, so even if it got lost at least it found another loving home with you :D

these quaker do not like being on human hands no matter how close you are with it it will tend to bite until they're are old enough to understand learnt that the hard way but we're so close
