This is a video for the Alfred Music Publishing cover contest of The Swell Season's song, Low Rising.
I've been a fan of them for quite a while, and the night after I performed my version of Crane Wife 3 (on this site), I drove through the night from Orlando to New Orleans to see them att the House of Blues there. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to, and I actually got to meet and hang out with Glen, Marketa, and Colm before the show. (Marketa even bummed a cigarette from me! :D )
Thanks for watching! Please rate/comment/subscribe.
For those curious - I played this down a half-step because all my guitars are tuned down during the recording of my second album [you can check out and/or buy demos, the first album, and free cover downloads at http://synecdochemusic.bandcamp.com ]. I used an Epiphone Casino (body of John Lennon's exact replica, with a Bigsby, Gibson Les Paul Custom (with cello bow), Epiphone Les Paul bass (with cello bow and drum stick), and a harmonium. Recorded audio through Logic 9, recorded video with iSight through iMovie and put it all together in Final Cut Pro.
first 3 seconds of the vid, i thought it was stephen hawking's son

You should post a link of this song on the swell season website. look on the discussion board and post it under the topic about covers. you have to be a member first i think but it takes like literally 45 seconds

As so frequently heard on Idol " You made it your own" I liked it. Think Glen and the gang would too.

So great :D
I love the Harmonium, that thing is intense. I bet you want an accordion pretty badly.
