Life Up Until You (JB Love Story) Chapter 5

Kevin: You're going to have to record that. It's beautiful.
Nick: Thank you. That means a lot to us.
Tylar: Don't thank me. You three mean a lot to us. We wouldn't give that up for anything.
Sarah: And when our friends aren't happy, we aren't happy.
Anna: Yeah, what they said.
Sarah: Come on. Ya'll need hugs. *walks over to Nick and pulls him into a hug*
(Kevin walks up to Anna as she hugs him. He begins to cry. Tylar and Joe look at each other.)
Joe: *motions his head toward the door telling her to walk with him*
Tylar: *nods and follows him out*
(Kevin and Anna and Nick and Sarah break apart and look at each other. They sit down and start talking.)
Sarah: Have you noticed a change in Ty lately?
Anna: Yeah. She's a whole lot calmer now. It's almost like she's not Tylar anymore. It's weird.
Kevin: Joe's changed too.
Nick: It's pretty much the same thing.

Joe: Why does the fact that my family has their problems make you so upset? It's not your family and you've only known us for two weeks.
Tylar: This is something that I've never told anyone. But, Anna's parents aren't my parents. They adopted me about four years ago. My biological dad left my mother when he found out she was pregnant with me. I was born and lived with just the two of us for 13 years. Then she was diagnosed with cancer. It took a year but it eventually killed her. I was 14. The social services dropped me in an orphanage when another year later, I was adopted by Anna and her family. And here we are today. Anna doesn't even know that that was what happened. All she knows is that I'm adopted and I'm part of the family now. So I've been there. I know how it feels.
Joe: Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.
Tylar: It's fine. That song was for you.
(Joe stopped and pulled her into a hug. They stood there and cried into each other's shoulders for the next 10 minutes.)
