The reason that the Cancer Society and the Heart and Lung Association people didn't show up is because they are paid off lobbying grant spongers for Johnson and Johnson Pharma, who sell Nicoderm, Nicorette, Nicotrol, Nicoderm CQ, and Commit Lozenges. They lie because they are PAID to. They will not have a debate with anyone with common sense!

"Are you a smoker?" "Oh no I like to smoke when I have a beer". Are you kidding me?!! ANOTHER SMOKER DEFENDING A LAW THAT WILL EFFECT HIS STUPID HABIT! How original. If he was a non smoker that got all kinds of respiratory diseases from second hand smoke, he wouldn't be defending anything!

rpd, please successfully explain all these things:
1) Why NO death certificate has ever been issued blaming secondhand smoke(SHS) exposure for one's death.
2) Why a U.S. federal court threw out a 90s EPA study exaggerating SHS effects, and also why SHS indoor levels are thousands of times safer than OSHA standards.
3) That as much as you deny the effects of bans, why thousands of businesses worldwide under bans have shuttered for good.
If not, I can see Camp Smoke-Free was much fun for you!

Silly that anyone would think that air filtration works. If I am sitting next to a smoker at the bar, that smoke goes into my lungs before it goes anywhere near a filtration system.
We need a full ban for smoking in public places, just like we have for other dangerous drugs.

Why yes, rpdannan, it does. Please tell us what you know about air filtration, and that aside, does someone have a gun pointed at your head, forcing you to enter an establishment that allows the legal act of smoking tobacco?
Using the minority/majority argument begs the question. If the majority of people wanted to reinstitute slavery, would that be okay with you?
