In Part Three, the finale, we wire and trim the branches, and we pot our juniper bonsai tree in a bonsai pot. Note: we potted this tree in July just to do the video, and it will need some special attention to survive the hot weather. DO NOT cut roots in hot weather, unless you are working on a ficus, bougainvillea or other tropical variety of tree. • I just bought a Japanese Boxwood at walmart, and want to make into a bonsai i have it in a 2in. high pot with regular soil that it came with. i havent trimed it or wired it. how can i make it like that.

  • @xXchuy94Xx My most recent video covered Boxwood shaping. You can run a search for it or check my channel.

  • I don't think there are any videos on you tube that are as good as yours. You seem like you really know what you are doing. Also-could you do this with a boxwood? I was looking at mine in the garden and wondering if it could be done.

  • @missanna208 I did a Boxwood video about two weeks ago -- look for it on my channel.

  • 1 part decomposed what?

  • Decomposed granite. It is used to make garden paths and patios -- you will see it used a lot on HGTV. You can buy it at sand and gravel yards, and some building supply stores.

  • It's the first Video I see on Bonsai and the only knowledge I have of this tree is from the movie "GREMLINS". I am looking forward into making this a past time. I am a beginner and would love to start on my first Bonsai. Any information that you think I would need would be greatly appreciated. I subscribed to your page and hopefully I'll get all the info I will need. Nice Bonsai by the way

  • wooowww....great video...u are a profesional man!!! great job...hello from Slovenia in EUROPE!!

  • how is this tree holding up? wouldnt mind if you could show us how it has developed since then

  • @chasnsx Building supply stores like maybe Home Depot or Lowes? Any chance we can see an update video of how this bonsai looks today. It's over two years since this video was made.

  • I have a Bougainvillea can I make it into a bonsai as well as the Juniper?

  • This is the best video Ive found anywhere on the net on the basic steps of how to do a bonsia juniper.Good job.

  • Great Videos.

Quick question, what type of wire are you using, and where can I get it from?

  • can u pls upload an follow up??

  • I'm curious as to why you didn't partially bare root it (leave a bit of soil because of the symbiotic fungus that goes with conifers) separate the trees and replant them in the soil so they could grow in the new soil instead of slowly growing roots outside of their, most likely, exhausted soil. Sure it would have been a bit of a shock but they would have gotten over it quickly since it's the middle of growing season and junipers are usually quick recoverers. Is there a follow up in the works?

  • Is this tree still alive? And how old is it after making it to a bonsai?
