I bought your book and I am confused with the measurements of the recipes. Does "T" mean teaspoon or tablespoon?

"corn starch cookie" doesnt sound very appetizing. They should call it a "type of shortbread". And I agree with kuraku3 about his comment that Rosketti should be in a coil or ring because thats what rosketti means. Even the chamorro Roska donuts are always made in a ring/coil shape. My grandma made good roska donuts.

The word ROSKETTI comes from the spanish word ROSCA, meaning ring or coil. A word that also found its way into the chamorro language. ROSKA donuts are made in the ring shape. To keep with tradition, I think it is better to prepare the dough only in the shape of a ring/coil. Because the name ROSKETTI means exactly that. By making it into other shapes, takes away the meaning of ROSKETTI

Your coil looks like a christmas pin wheel. However, not the same taste plus the christmas pin wheel has color. I've made it many years ago with red and green dye. very fun.

@CHAMORRITO-I know it doesn't sound appetizing; I have made many a roskette, and they were all with cornstarch. This distinguishes the cookie from another popular Guam butter cookie, more similar to shortbread. I have reached out to kuraku3 to share more of his knowledge or perhaps some references; I have yet to hear back. I am actually quite intrigued because I cannot find much info out here in the states. Hence, I have to wait till I go back to visit the Micronesia Area Research Center at UOG.
