@zadeh79 And there were more White slaves (Irish) in America than Black, and black slavery ended before White slavery. White slavery in America didn't end until the Mann Act of 1910.

@zadeh79 White people never enslaved black people. Black people enslaved black people. It wasn't Whites going around enslaving blacks, it was black people capturing their own and selling them as slaves.

Before the discovery of quinine as a treatment for malaria in the 19th century, the average life span of a white European in subsaharan Africa was 6 months. Going into the jungle to catch blacks was a death sentence for whites because of their vulnerability to tropical diseases in Africa.
