@schmocool You shouldn't have to do this. I'm still not sure if you are coding linked transcripts or pure audio files. If I could see what you are actually doing, I'm sure I could help find an easier way. On the other hand, if it's working okay for you just go with it. If you want some support just let me know. thanks. I've resorted to "selecting all" before beginning a new "start selection" and "finish selection". It's an extra mouse click but alas

thanks for this. how do you deselect the just-coded audio portion to continue playing where it stopped and select a new portion for coding?
