Cursus met Cappella Pratensis

Het verhaal rond de Missa De Sancto Donatiano begint met de verbanning, om politieke redenen, van de rijke Brugse bonthandelaar Donaas de Moor. Toen deze in 1483 overleed na jarenlang als banneling te hebben geleefd in Zeeland, stipuleerde hij in zijn testament een dotatie voor het opdragen van een mis in de Brugse St-Jacobskerk.

The story surrounding the Missa De Sancto Donatiano begins with the banishing, for political reasons, of the wealthy Bruges furrier, Donaas de Moor. An exile in Zeeland at his death in 1483, he stipulated in his will that a mass in his name be endowed at the Church of St James in Bruges.
